Saturday Science Club is back with a wet and wonderful exploration of floating and sinking at our nautically-themed family workshop. Young engineers have fun investigating the scientific principles of buoyancy and design by building and testing their own mini-rafts. Try out a range of building materials from plasticine to marbles and balloons and see what works best to keep your Ark afloat!

All Saturday Science Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult.

About Saturday Science Club

Our fun sessions for ages 5-9 are designed to engage children and their families with STEM: science, technology, engineering and maths. Through entertaining demos and hands-on activities, children have a chance to learn, explore, question and investigate different areas of science. Each month has a different theme, so you can try something new each time if you attend regularly. Your visit includes access to our woodland, ponds, picnic areas and cafe.
