SPOTLIGHT – COCKFIELDS FARM PARK FARMLIFE FESTIVAL
The ultimate Farm Festival comes to Cockfields Farm Park this summer. From tiny tots to young-at-heart adults, there’s something for everyone at the Farm Festival! Explore the enchanting farm park transformed into a bustling hub of excitement, with activities and attractions. Meet the animals, get creative with crafts and jump on a tractor ride. We had a great day out here for the Farmlife Festival and particularly loved walking an alpaca.
August Bank Holiday Weekend Events in Cheshire & Manchester
Character Meet and greets, bubble shows, foam parties and play all day at Castaway Play (Congleton)
There are some very special visitors to meet at Castaway Play over the bank holiday weekend. Saturday is Toy Story, Sunday Angel & Stitch and Peppa Pig fans will be in for a treat on Bank Holiday Monday. With all the indoor play fun, bubble shows and a foam party included, there’s a lot of fun to be had.
Bright Lights Big Fun at the Trafford Centre (Manchester)
“Bright Lights, Big Fun” promises a fun day out for the whole family, with attractions including a splash park, giant 600 square metre beach, delicious food trucks, and fairground rides galore! Entry is £2.75 per person but food and rides are extra (rides are between £3-£5). Included in your ticket price: splash pool, beach, face painting, character meet and greets (we met Sky and Chase from Paw patrol). We had such a great day here- our little girl was in the splash pool for hours.
Summer of Stories at Z Arts (Manchester) 24th August FREE
Free family-friendly fun, including storytelling inspired by & celebrating the work of Rob Biddulph as well as drop in Arts and Crafts. Inspired by the newest interactive experience, The 100 Story Hotel which we adored when we visited.

August Bank Holiday Weekend Family Days Out
If the sun’s out then it’s time to hit the beach. There are some really fantastic beaches to explore with kids in the North West. Find the best beaches within a two hour drive from Manchester.
