One of the joys of the toddler years is when your little one develops a love and fascination for something and for many little one’s trains, and Thomas the Tank Engine in particular, becomes the thing they can’t get enough of.

The Thomas Themed room is packed with features that make you feel like you are fully immersed in the world of Thomas, even the bed features a huge Thomas on the end making the kids feel like they are sleeping inside Thomas’ coaches!
The carpet features tracks and even the ceiling is painted with cloud and puffs of smoke. We really enjoyed being in the space and it definitely wowed the kids. The beds for the kids have built in DVD players where they can watch Thomas to their hearts content, with DVDs available to pick up from reception.

The Hotel itself is also a lovely place to stay. There are onsite playparks to enjoy plus kid’s entertainment in the holidays. This wasn’t Thomas themed when we were there but was a magic show that was good fun for the kids (and there was a bar for the adults!)
In the morning you are treated to a full buffet breakfast which was lovely quality. A major highlight of this for your Thomas fan is that the Fat Controller makes the rounds of the table to have a chat and take pictures. This was a real highlight for our kids.

Themed overnight stays don’t come cheap but if you have a child who absolutely loves Thomas then it will be an experience that they won’t forget. The regular rooms at Drayton Manor Hotel are also lovely – and we have been upgraded to a Thomas room for free on our recent stay so you never know, you might get lucky!
